The Quectel EP06-E embraces the 3GPP release 12 LTE technology, especially optimised for IoT and M2M applications, delivering at speeds of 300Mbs downlink and 50Mbs uplink data peak rates.

The EO06-E is designed in the Mini PCI-Express form and is compatible with Quectel future Category 12 module EP12 and Category 16 module EP16, which can assist customers in the migration between categories in the future. The module can be used in residential, industrial or business routers or even in industrial PDA, rugged tablet PC, video surveillance and so on.

Another exciting announcement from Quectel is that their EC25 module now supports iWave’s OBD II Device. On-board Diagnostics (OBD) is a system which allows vehicle owners and technicians to access a variety of automotive subsystems, track and monitor driving, and review car diagnostics remotely from your PC and/or mobile, this is all thanks to Quectel’s EC25 module which has allowed these functions to be made possible.

The iWave OBD II is a compact and reliable device with a powerful, integrated security enabled ARM Cortex A7 processor and a WiFi hotspot feature. It has been designed to be utilised across a range of markets such as fleet management, car insurance vendors, asset tracking, taxi aggregators and connected cars. The iWave OBD II supports many Cloud platforms allowing you to use it in a way that’s best suited for yourself.

Quectel EC25 is part of the LTE Category four module which has been exclusively optimised for IoT and M2M applications, delivering 150Mbs downlink and 50Mbs uplink peak data rates, making it well suited for high speed automotive applications.
