Reference Designs

This magnetic-free (no transformer/inductor): small form-factor: LED driver circuit is ideal for use in LED lamps: downlights: and fixtures.  The design takes advantage of relatively new high forward-voltage (22V): low-current (20mA) white LEDs to realize a compact design producing >800 lumens from about 9W of input power.  The novel floating switch architecture produces low LED current ripple comparable to single-stage SMPS based designs while providing excellent compatability with a wide range of common household wall dimmers.
