Automatically Level RF Power Amplifier Output

RF power amplifier designers need external level control to facilitate measuring ACPR and EVM in the non-linear range of their amplifiers, especially for technologies such as LTE and WLAN which have high peak to average ratios. Agilent has designed a new power servo feature in the X-Series signal generators to allow for automatic leveling of power amplifier output with power meter accuracy, saving PA designers both time and effort and eliminating repetitive measurement tasks.
