InstaSPIN-FOC-enabled Quadcopter

Patrick Fisher, under supervision of D.M.G. Preethichandra at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University, conducted his final-year research project report entitled “High Performance Brushless DC Motor Control,” which compared techniques and capabilities of sensorless BLDC controllers and resulted in the creation of a customised motor controller based on InstaSPIN-FOC. This InstaSPIN-FOC-based motor controller was subsequently used in the creation of a Quadcopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
