Energy Harvesting Reference Design

Overview of Silicon Labs’ energy harvesting reference design using solar energy to power a wireless sensor node. The solar energy input can be bypassed to accept alternative energy sources such as heat, vibration, RF, etc. The reference design comes complete with the RF hardware design, networking software and USB interface.

Based on Silicon Labs’ ultra-low-power Si10xx wireless MCU, the reference design enables designers to implement self-sustaining, ultra-low-power wireless sensor networks for home and building automation, security systems, industrial control applications, medical monitoring devices, asset tracking systems and infrastructure & agriculture monitoring systems.
