DigiKey at embedded world 2024 with Infineon

At embedded world 2024, on the DigiKey booth, Kristian McCann speaks with Manuel Hollfelder, Senior Manager Solutions & Application Synergies at Infineon about Infineon lighting shoe.

Derived from the adidas Originals NMD S1 shoe, this prototype illuminates in sync with music beats, featuring a range of programmable colour effects. Equipped with XENSIV sensors, the shoe is capable of “hearing” sounds.

The Originals NMD S1 was chosen as the ideal model for this collaborative development project due to its optimal design that accommodates sensitive, high-quality electronic components without sacrificing comfort for the wearer. Additionally, the use of recycled materials and a circular lifecycle aligns with Infineon’s commitment to promoting decarbonisation.
