At electronica 2022, on the Digi-Key booth, Caroline Hayes speaks with Jack Conroy, Product Development Manager at Taoglas about the launch of its magnetic series.

Taoglas provides advanced antennas and next-generation IoT solutions from our world-class design and engineering facilities across the globe.

Taoglas debuted its Magnetics series at Electronica 2022. Its 40 new magnetics products deliver improved EMI performance, PoE++ up to 100W, and superior reliability and repeatability to network switches, routers, gateways, and other smart IoT products.

"We wanted to make sure we were making a play in the connectivity space because we've been a wireless company for so long. We've seen over the years some challenges between integrating antennas for wireless and transformers for wired connectivity. So what we've done is launched our own so we can help control the customer and help lead them to a better solution all around," explained Conroy.

"A lot of customers come to us and they'll have an antenna and won't know what to do with it. What we try and do is provide as much integration support as possible.

"What we want to do is show the antennas in different conditions," Conroy continued.

Available in integrated and discrete configurations, the new Atmos RJ45s, Exos LAN transformers, and Stratos BMS transformers have industry-compatible footprints for fast and reliable time-to-market integration into WLAN, VoIP, and high speed ethernet designs up to 10 GbE.

aoglas’ magnetics series meet the requirements of all the major network IC PHY manufacturers and come in a variety of package types, form factors, and surface mount (SMT) and through-hold (THT) options. Designed for IoT and industrial applications, the Atmos RJ45 series and Exos LAN series support 10/100 Base-T to 10G Base-T speeds, industrial grade temperatures and PoE++ up to 100 W. The Stratos BMS Series was designed for energy-efficient automotive applications and supports operating voltages from 1000 VDC to 1600 VDC.
