Saturday 11th February 2023 marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The Profs, a leading EdTech company that supports women in STEM year-round, provides Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics tuition, supports female students in securing university places for STEM subjects, and provides STEM careers guidance.

The Profs also work with freelance female STEM tutors helping women educate other women in these often male-dominated fields. This week, The Profs are reiterating their commitment to promoting gender equality in STEM education and careers.

The theme for this year’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science is ‘Investment in Women and Girls in Science for Inclusive Green Growth.’ The Profs recognise the crucial role women play in driving sustainable and inclusive economic growth, particularly in the field of STEM. Despite progress, significant gender disparities still exist in STEM fields, particularly in leadership positions.

The Profs is dedicated to bridging this gap by providing women in STEM with access to the best teaching, and support systems to help them thrive in their further education and careers. From teaching and university admissions programmes to mentoring opportunities and online resources, The Profs empowers women in STEM to reach their full potential and make a lasting impact in their communities and the world.

“The Profs is proud to be a leader in the fight for gender equality in STEM,” said Richard Evans, Founder of The Profs. “On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are reminded of the incredible work women in STEM are doing every day, and we are inspired to continue our efforts to support and empower them.”

The Profs encourage individuals around the world to join them in their mission to promote gender equality in STEM and invest in the future of women and girls in science.
