Quantum Science is poised to participate in a trade delegation aimed at fostering connections between the UK's emerging tech sector and a significant international market.

From the 13th-17th November, Dr Hao Pang, CEO and Founder of Quantum Science, will accompany other prominent figures from the UK tech industry to Hong Kong, as part of a government-endorsed UK Tech Mission. The objective is to fortify trade links between these two key hubs of innovation.

A key feature of this mission will be Dr Pang's participation in the UK Tech Founders Showcase during the StartmeupHK Festival, where he will spotlight the advantages of Quantum Science's INFIQ infrared QD technology.

Dr Pang is also scheduled to engage in a Reverse Pitch event and explore both the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park and Cyberport, seeking out potential collaborators and financiers.

This venture follows Quantum Science's accolade in the ‘New to Export’ category at the UMi Northern Powerhouse Export Awards, honouring its achievements in initiating commerce with the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr Pang commented on the upcoming mission: “Hong Kong's reputation for business and innovation creates a vibrant environment for tech enterprises. This trade mission is an exceptional chance to consolidate international ties and showcase our INFIQ infrared QD technology within the dynamic imaging and sensing market."

Since its inception in 2018, Quantum Science has become a prominent name in the QD materials sector, with its INFIQ technology setting new standards in sensitivity and performance. Following its recent award recognition, Quantum Science is keen to expedite its commercial strategy, and the UK Tech Mission is an ideal platform to expand their influence in the Asia-Pacific market, network with essential stakeholders, and promote their technology globally.

The UK Tech Mission to Hong Kong is spearheaded by Tech West England Advocates, UK Tech Advocates, and Global Tech Advocates, in collaboration with the Department for Business and Trade. It is designed to cultivate robust trade prospects between the nations and to knit tech enterprises together in collaborative innovation.
