Season 4 – Episode #10: NFC technology skyrockets

Identiv recently announced that the company is building an RFID Community around its new NFC Starter Kit.

Identiv’s newest release is incredibly timely: there will be 1.6bn NFC-enabled devices by 2024 and total NFC market value will reach $47bn by that same year.

The software development kit allows mobile app developers who are new to NFC technology to start NFC mobile app development for either Android and/or iOS devices. The product is a simple way for developers to test ideas with off-the-shelf tags and provide a simple solution to program and encode tags.

NFC’s uses abound: whether it’s contactless payments, public transportation or video sharing, its capabilities are growing every day. In the latest addition to the Electronic Specifier Insights podcast we speak to Identiv CEO Manfred Mueller, to find out more.
