Season 2 – Episode #8 – Becoming part of the UK EV supply chain

In this latest instalment of the Electronic Specifier Insights podcast we’ll be speaking to Philip Johnston, CEO, of Trackwise, a manufacturer of specialist products using printed circuit technology, with a wide range of potential applications including telecommunications, aviation, automotive and medical.

Philip will be speaking about the company’s production techniques, the benefits of using Trackwise products and of course how the company has been adapting and pivoting during COVID-19.

The podcast will include the manufacture of Trackwise’s advanced flexible printed circuit technology, and what differentiates the flex circuits from other FPCs?

Philip will offer an overview of Trackwise’s production techniques, the sizes that can be produced, and highlight the benefits of FPCs using improved harness technology (IHT) over wiring harnesses.

He will also explain some of the applications of longer flexible printed circuits, which include automotive (EVs), medical, aerospace and others.

Also up for discussion will be the challenge of the past 12 months and how Trackwise has weathered the COVID-19 storm, including the company’s acquisition of Stevenage Circuits (SCL) last spring, and what the future holds.
