Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with InnoPhase, a fabless semiconductor company specialising in extreme-low-power wireless Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

Through the agreement, Mouser now offers InnoPhase's Talaria TWO wireless modules and associated development boards to help designers achieve certified, ultra-low-power products.

The InnoPhase INP1010 and INP1011 Talaria TWO modules provide complete solutions with wireless connectivity plus an integrated microcontroller for edge-of-network IoT designs.

The highly integrated, multi-protocol single-chip platform includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity for wireless data transfer, an embedded Arm Cortex-M3 microcontroller for system control and user applications, and advanced security elements for device safeguards.

The modules can operate in stand-alone mode, in conjunction with an external microcontroller, or in a hybrid mode where the system control and processing responsibilities are shared between the module and an external microcontroller.

At the heart of the modules, the Talaria TWO system-on-chip (SoC) features InnoPhase's advanced, patented PolaRFusion radio — a complete 2.4 GHz radio built using an innovative polar architecture that enables extreme low power and programmable protocol functionality. Engineers can focus on the value-added aspects of their design while taking advantage of the ultra-low-power wireless connectivity, processing capability and robust security features of the embedded Talaria TWO SoC.

The modules come complete with the necessary clocks, passives, and antennas and are certified with Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, FCC (U.S.), IC (Canada), and awaiting CE approval.

The INP1010 contains a printed PCB antenna, while the INP1011 incorporates a U.FL antenna connector.

The modules are ideally suited for battery-based, direct-to-cloud devices in smart home automation and commercial applications such as smart door locks, remote security cameras, and connected sensors.

InnoPhase INP3010 and INP3011 EVB-A development boards include everything needed for evaluating the Talaria TWO modules' performance and capabilities, and can be used to complete initial system integration and development.

The boards are compatible with the Arduino Uno form factor and incorporate a mounted INP1010 or INP1011 module for easy evaluation in stand-alone mode or in conjunction with an external microcontroller.

Software binaries and programming tools for the boards are available for free download on the InnoPhase website.
