Rutronik stocks the HAL 39xy, HAC 39xy and HAR 39xy series from TDK Micronas in its portfolio of 3D position sensors. These sensors enable highly accurate and stray-field-robust linear and rotary position measurements, based on 3D HAL-technology.
Their monolithic integration into the CMOS process, combined with vertical and horizontal Hall plates with reduced parasitic effects, makes them particularly suitable for safety-critical automotive and industrial applications. Thanks to integrated stray-field compensation, the sensors deliver reliable results even in demanding EMC environments. With an operating temperature range from -40 °C to +150 °C and an ISO 26262 ASIL-C-ready safety concept, the sensor families are optimised for use in high-reliability systems.
The product family enables 360° angular measurements as well as linear displacements up to 35mm, with a supply voltage range of 3V to 20V. The devices support a wide set of digital automotive and industrial interfaces, including SPI, SENT, PWM, SPC, PSI5, and analog outputs. They are offered in multiple package options: SOIC8 (HAL 39xy), TO92UF (HAC 39xy), and SSOP16 (HAR 39xy).
Key features include true 3D position detection, a unique stray-field concept supporting various magnetic configurations (rotary, linear, axial, radial), and a highly robust Hall-plate architecture. The sensors achieve stray-field robustness of up to 4 kA/m, and feature configurable sleep modes for energy-efficient applications.
Another major advantage is the programmable memory, enabling customer-specific calibration already during production.
