NTT DATA launches Uniquecamp

The training will last 850 hours over six months (February to September) and will focus on FullStack Web Development. Those students who pass the final assessment will join the NTT DATA template as web developers.

This program confirms NTT DATA's commitment to diversity and social inclusion, whose Uniqueness strategy offers future opportunities to anyone committed to the technological field to achieve an increasingly diverse workforce. With Uniquecamp, the company focuses on the inclusion of people with disabilities, whose unemployment rate according to the World Bank source is 63%, which places them at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

The 24 students selected to do this training program come from different parts of the Spanish geography, from Seville, Cádiz, Barcelona, Zaragoza, A Coruña, Pamplona, Madrid and Valencia. In addition, continuing with the principle of gender diversity that the company promotes in its actions, 50% of the selected candidates are women.

Following the evaluation of this pilot, NTT DATA aims to convene new editions of this program and export it to other countries of the company.

"We are delighted to offer training to these 24 students who, we hope, from September will become part of our staff and, in this way, make us a more complete company, where diverse talent and responsible technology continue to be the key piece of our business purpose."

María Jordà, director of the Eurofirms Foundation, pointed out that "it is essential that there are more initiatives of this type, in which the growing need to incorporate talent in the technological field also extends to groups that have difficulties to join the labor market, such as people with disabilities, who have much to contribute to companies".
