LASER COMPONENTS features high luminance white light module & pulsed CW laser module

At VISION 2022 in Stuttgart, Germany, LASER COMPONENTS will present innovations from its laser modules and filter departments.

In Hall 10, Booth C20, visitors will not only find a groundbreaking pulsed continuous wave (CW) laser module, but also get a first look at a white light module with exceptionally high luminance.

The FLEXPOINT MVpulse pulsed CW laser module was developed in-house. It delivers single pulses with up to five times higher power than continuous wave operation, and still meets all requirements of laser class 1 or 2 respectively over the entire pulse sequence. The short, high-energy laser pulses allow higher throughput with shorter exposure times in machine vision systems.

The LS-WL1 white light module is celebrating its premiere at VISION. With an outstanding light output of 500mW, it is an ideal solution for industrial image processing, endoscopes and other systems that require bright light. Its luminous area has a side length of just 350µm so that the beam can be easily coupled into most common multimode fibres. A microprocessor allows four pre-designed modes of operation: CW operation, stroboscope, pulse triggering and modulation. If desired, the operator can programme his own control patterns.

“Our product developments are always driven by the needs of the market,” said Jochen Maier, head of the Optosystems product division at LASER COMPONENTS Germany. “Most of the laser modules in our product line can be customised to perfectly meet the requirements of each customer application. We now have more than 1,500 product variations, and more are being added with each project.”
