Taiwanese embedded computing specialist IBASE Technology has unveiled a new ATX motherboard aimed at industrial and Edge AI applications, as chipmakers and system builders look to capitalise on rising demand for automation and connected devices.
The MBB1001 board is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Embedded 7000 series processors and the B650 chipset, offering support for up to 128GB of DDR5 error-correcting memory, and PCIe Gen5 expansion. The company said the platform is intended for high-reliability deployments in areas such as robotics, smart retail, kiosks, and factory automation.
The motherboard supports triple display outputs — DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D — as well as multiple PCIe slots, including a Gen5 x16 interface for graphics cards or accelerators. It also retains a legacy PCI slot, catering to industrial users who rely on long-life add-on cards.
Founded in 2000 and listed on the Taipei Exchange, IBASE manufactures a range of embedded and industrial PCs at its own ISO-certified facilities in Taiwan. The company’s portfolio spans industrial motherboards, Edge AI systems, digital signage players, and medical PCs, with customers across the AIoT, transport, and automation sectors.
