Global Sources' Buyer App to offer one-stop sourcing

“The downloads for Global Sources Buyer and Supplier apps have doubled since the outbreak of COVID-19,” said Global Sources CEO Hu Wei. “The Global Sources team raced against time to upgrade our mobile apps and simplify the online sourcing process. Despite various challenges, such as the lockdown of Hubei Province which affected our staffing, the new versions are successfully launched today to enhance our online and offline sourcing channels amid disruptions in trade show events and international air travel.” 

Global Sources always puts buyers’ and suppliers’ needs in first place. Its feedback survey shows that 80 percent of users preferred enhancements in the Global Sources Apps’ chat and online consulting features. The latest Buyer and Supplier App versions sync chat messages with the apps’ desktop version, and enable users to share text, voice, photo and video files.

Through Buyer App 3.0, buyers can find supplier recommendations based on their sourcing preferences, check out the latest product videos, and easily subscribe to the news feeds of quality suppliers. The ‘Verified Supplier’ status and third-party audit reports enable buyers to source with confidence.

Supplier App 3.0 allows suppliers to create product videos and share them on Facebook and WeChat. Chat messages can be handled by multiple designated administrators of a company. Suppliers can check the profiles and online status of the buyers they are chatting with.
