The new release not only supports Allied Vision’s machine vision and embedded vision cameras, it also supports high-resolution and high-bandwidth GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, and CoaXPress cameras from the TKH Vision sister company SVS-Vistek GmbH and is enabled by default. This extension allows customers to use cameras from both companies with the same SDK within the same application. Mixed configurations in different applications are also possible, which considerably expands the range of options for customers. Being able to use the same SDK for different cameras significantly reduces development time and costs. At the same time, SVS-Vistek is releasing a new version of the SDK SVCam now supporting the main functionality of Allied Vision’s Alvium cameras with GigE Vision and USB3 Vision interface. New multi-ROI widget in Vimba X Viewer
The new widget makes using and defining multiple Region-of-Interests (ROI) much easier and more comfortable. It is now very user-friendly to see which ROIs are activated, and what size they are and where they are positioned. For a precise positioning of the ROI, previously saved images can be loaded and used. Additionally, the user can define different values for specific image features for each single ROI (e.g. different contrast, hue, or saturation values), a feature unique to Allied Vision’s Alvium cameras.
Further improvements and new features include:
- Completely revamped Event Viewer for easier access and higher user-friendliness
- Updated Python API (VmbPy) with improved auto-completion
