ADLINK Technology has been awarded the Compass Intelligence 2020 IoT Innovator Award for Machine Vision Technologies for its NEON-1000-MDX AI Smart Camera series. The 3rdAnnual Compass Intelligence IoT Innovator Awards honours companies that have made an impact to the market and demonstrate superior innovation to elevate the Internet of Things.

ADLINK’s NEON-1000-MDX AI Smart Camera combines the power of leading industrial machine vision with ADLINK Edge software, including Edge Vision Analytics, to easily and quickly add AI-based machine vision into new and existing environments. The all-in-one solution allows machine vision experts and developers to build, test and deploy AI models faster, while giving IoT solution teams and system integrators the tools to connect, stream and automate AI machine vision work.

“ADLINK’s NEON-1000-MDX AI Smart Camera offers machine vision innovation to support automation, faster operations, and improved workflows,” said Stephanie Atkinson, CEO of Compass Intelligence. “Congratulations to ADLINK’s machine vision AI technology team on their continued success, especially when remote operations and hands-free alerting and identification are more important than ever to production, supply chain, and manufacturing industries.”

The NEON-1000-MDX AI Smart Camera supports several uses in smart manufacturing and distribution such as product classification and defect detection to ensure production quality as well as worker safety. For example, the ADLINK Edge Smart Pallet solution adds intelligence and automation to manual warehouse fulfilment operations such as receiving, bin picking, packing, shipping and worker safety.

Smart Pallet connects new and existing equipment, captures multiple image data streams and applies the high performance processing power of the NEON-1000-MDX VPUs to enable machine learning and inferencing at the edge.

“For our customers, the NEON-1000-MDX effectively decreases footprint, reliability and compatibility issues to save technology maintenance efforts, while also helping to fulfill the KPIs of the business,” said Kevin Hsu, Senior Product Manager of ADLINK’s IoT Solutions and Technology business unit. “We eliminate the complex integration of sensor modules, cables and VPU modules to simplify deployment; and with the pre-installed EVA (Edge Vision Analytics) software development kit, users can deploy neural networks without extra coding or integration efforts.
