SYSGO, wolfSSL, and Curtiss-Wright in collaboration with Intel, will present their secure boot demonstrator at Embedded World North America 2025, 4–6TH November at the Anaheim Convention Centre. Visitors can see the demo at the wolfSSL Booth #2070.
Following a successful debut at Embedded World in Germany earlier this year, the companies are bringing their enhanced solution to U.S. audiences to showcase how security, safety, and performance come together in today’s modern embedded systems.
The demonstration highlights a secure boot process on 13th generation Intel Core processors, leveraging wolfSSL’s wolfBoot secure bootloader and wolfCrypt cryptography, SYSGO’s PikeOS real-time operating system and hypervisor, and leverages Curtiss-Wright’s safety-certifiable 3U VPX single board computer, V3-1222, hosting Intel Core i7-1376.
At Embedded World North America, attendees will experience a complete, verifiable chain of trust firsthand, from power-on to application runtime. The system automatically launches the wolfBoot EFI application, which validates and launches the PikeOS real-time operating system, continuously running wolfCrypt benchmarks and tests to demonstrate both system integrity and cryptographic performance, on a hardware platform uniquely designed for the most rugged Aerospace and Defence environments.
“PikeOS provides the safety – and security-critical runtime foundation that allows customers to consolidate applications with confidence”, states Franz Walkembach, VP Marketing & Alliances at SYSGO. “This collaboration demonstrates how PikeOS can seamlessly integrate with partners’ technologies to achieve both safety certification and robust cybersecurity in demanding industries.”
“wolfSSL brings certified cryptography and secure boot technology to ensure only verified software is executed”, explains Larry Stefonic, Co-founder & CEO at wolfSSL. “By combining wolfBoot and wolfCrypt with Intel’s processing power and SYSGO’s PikeOS, we’re giving customers a path to stronger security, smoother certification, and faster time-to-market.”
“This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to delivering secure, certifiable technologies for critical embedded applications,” said Lee Brown, General Manager, C5ISR at Curtiss-Wright. “By combining our rugged, safety-certifiable VPX hardware with trusted software and cryptographic technologies, we enable system integrators to accelerate deployment of secure, high-performance computing platforms with reduced risk.”
“For industries where performance and trust are non-negotiable, this collaboration underscores Intel’s commitment to enabling safe and secure platforms,” says Renu Navale, VP & General Manager, Critical Infrastructure, Federal & Aerospace Division, Intel Corporation. “With this demo, we are showcasing how our Intel Core processors are able to accelerate cryptographic workloads with high-performance computing and hardware-assisted security features such as Intel AES-NI and AVX2.”
The ongoing collaboration between Intel, Curtiss-Wright, wolfSSL, and SYSGO sets the stage for embedded developers and system integrators to accelerate innovation with confidence. By combining high-performance hardware, certifiable software components, and proven security technologies, the demonstrator highlights how customers can reduce integration risks, shorten certification timelines, and deliver safety- and security-critical solutions to market faster. The combined expertise of the partners ensures that OEMs in aerospace, defence, automotive, and industrial domains benefit from a ready-to-adapt foundation that balances performance, security, and long-term reliability.
Attendees are invited to experience the live demonstrator and speak with our experts at wolfSSL Booth #2070.
