Valtronic to participate in manufacturing day

Valtronic announces that it will participate in an upcoming Manufacturing Day at the Formtek facility on 2nd October, 2015. Formtek has gathered a group of manufacturing companies and invited high school and college students to meet at its facility, for a facility tour and various presentations. The purpose of the event is to join manufacturers across the country during the month of October, which is delegated as 'Manufacturing Month'.

Many manufacturers will hold open houses to spotlight the wide range of high-skill, high-pay career opportunities available in contemporary manufacturing facilities and to highlight manufacturing’s vital role in national and regional economies. Formtek has created an event that hosts various manufacturers at their facility and bringstoday’s youth to encourage them to consider careers in manufacturing to inspire next-gen engineers, builders and inventors.

The day will kick off with a plant tour, which will be followed by demonstrations from Formtek’s industry partners. Attendees will learn about robotic arms, the Mars Rover, Vertex mobile welding, 3D printing machines, a 38ft automation trailer, a 3D prosthetic hand and much more. Valtronic will discuss the importance of providing quality manufacturing capabilities and services to develop and produce Class II & III medical devices and advanced miniaturised electronic assemblies.

In addition to Valtronic, other companies participating in the event include Force Robots LLC, H.H. Barnum Company, Lincoln Electric, NASA Glen Research Center, NSL Analytical Services, Lydey Automation, Meyer Products, MAGNET (nonprofit organisation) and Satellite Gear.

The high school and colleges that will attend include Mayfield High School CADD students, Case Western Reserve (Engineering and Materials Science), Lakeland Community College (Engineering and Tech Prep) and Tri-C 3-D Digital Design and Manufacturing Technology.
