Untapping the potential: groundbreaking FTIR and kHz receiver

Joe Kunsch, Head of the Business Unit IR Components at LASER COMPONENTS Germany will unveil exciting new detector technology on January 30th, 4:20-4:40pm PST at Photonics West.

Pyroelectric receiver PR N°1 IR and detector ALUT3151 provide simple, universal, and scalable solutions for FTIR and untap dormant potential for materials analysis and laser characterisation.  Both components are based on thin LiTaO3 technology with sub-pixel binning.  They cover a wide wavelength range, do not require cooling, and operate at high Detectivity (D*) in the kHz range.  At the same time, they offer linearity over four orders of magnitude.  Joe is a strong supporter of a People´s-FTIR and will focus on recent progress in this direction – including applications for THz detection and QCL based laser spectroscopy.

Drop by at the LASER COMPONENTS booth (1449) to say hello and get the chance to paint with lasers!
