The GENERA Gender in Physics Day strives to analyse and discuss the reasons for the prevalent gender inequalities in Physics and possible strategies to promote gender equality in Physics.
Leading experts on the topic of gender (in)equalities in physics have been invited to present their research findings and to engage in a discussion with the Austrian community about strategies to improve gender equality.
Among the participants of the Gender in Physics Day are Tomas Brage (Lund University & Fudan University Shanghai), Rachel Ivie (Director of the Statistical Research Center of the American Institute of Physics).
In addition representatives of the Austrian physics community will participate in the panel discussion including Monika Ritsch-Marte (Medical University of Innsbruck), Joachim Burgdörfer (Faculty of Physics, TU Wien), Ulrike Diebold (Faculty of Physics, TU Wien) and Rainer Blatt(Austrian Academy of Science).
