A webinar will be hosted by Real-Time Innovations (RTI) next month that will focus on the collaboration of the connectivity standards OPC UA and DDS for industrial systems of the IIoT. The webinar can be followed for free on 15th June at 5.00pm (CET) and also afterwards via RTI’s website www.rti.com.

Within the 60 minutes webinar, Dr. Stan Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of RTI, and Thomas J. Burke, President and Executive Director OPC Foundation, will talk about a late breaking topic - recently the Object Management Group (OMG) and the OPC Foundation announced a collaborative strategy for the two leading connectivity standards for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) - the OMG Data Distribution Service (DDS) and the OPC United Architecture (OPC UA) standard. Both standards organisations, together with the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), Industrie 4.0 and leading DDS and OPC UA vendors, will lead this strategy to enable immediate IIoT market adoption.

In this webinar, Stan Schneider and Thomas J. Burke will outline a strategy for the integration of these standards and discuss how they are largely complementary and compatible. Attendees will learn how these standards are important to the future of the IIoT as well as how companies such as GE, Honeywell, National Instruments, SAP and Siemens are supporting the strategy.

To participate in the webinar, register on the RTI website’s webinar page www.rti.com/mk/webinars.
