The art & science of choosing a structural adhesive

The seminar programme at this week’s FAST Exhibition at Williams F1 HQ in Oxfordshire sees Peter Swanson, Managing Director, Intertronics, talking about how to evaluate and choose the best structural adhesives for specific applications. Starting with design and working through production and processing considerations, he will discuss the various factors which influence the decision and how to develop a specification based on necessary priorities and allowable compromises.

Though there is no universal adhesive which works for everything, the seminar will equip delegates to select adhesives by understanding what questions to ask and to whom, the different types of adhesives and chemistries, weighing up performance versus manufacturability and deciding what the bonding priorities are for their particular production process.

The seminar takes place within the FAST Exhibition, held at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Grove, Oxfordshire, OX12 0DQ on 9th September at 11.30am. Entry is free, but by pre-registration only, so visitors may book their attendance and seminar place at the same time.
