“On our stand at the PPMA Show 2015 we will be showcasing our Discrete Event Simulation capability, using a previous conveyor system projectto demonstrate how advanced simulation can be used to visualise, analyse and optimise automated production systems,” said Ed Derry, Simulation and Robotics Manager, The Automated Technology Group.
“Through a digital model, we will show visitors how we can take a new or existing system and explore its characteristics, run experiments, compile reports and then choose the optimum solution,” he explained. “In this way, Discrete Event Simulation enables stakeholders to make investment decisions with maximum confidence and minimum risk.”
The Automated Technology Group’s stand will also feature a live Kuka robot. The group is keeping details of the 6-axis robot under wraps until the show but has revealed that visitors will be able to interact with it. “The Automated Technology Group is very excited about exhibiting at this year’s event. We look forward to the show and are also pleased to be sponsoring the PPMA Group Industry Awards,” said Ed Derry.
