Silicon Labs’ CEO to deliver IoT keynote at Embedded World

It has been announced that Silicon Labs’ CEO, Tyson Tuttle, will deliver the opening-day keynote at Embedded World 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th February in Nuremburg, Germany. In his keynote address, titled ‘Engineering the IoT: An RF Expert’s View on Technology Trends and Challenges’, Tuttle will discuss technology trends and challenges in today’s IoT market. 

Tuttle will consider existing and emerging wireless connectivity technology options for the IoT including low-power WiFi, Bluetooth Smart, ZigBee and Thread protocol for IP mesh networking. The CEO's keynote is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 24th February at 1.30pm. In addition to Tuttle’s keynote address, Silicon Labs’ IoT experts will discuss ‘Network Performance, Reliability and Metrics for Embedded IP Mesh Networks’ on Wednesday 25th February from 4pm to 4.30pm, and ‘How to Design a Winning Wearable Product’ on Thursday 26th February from 3.30pm to 4pm.

At the event, the company will also highlight its latest hardware and software solutions for the IoT. Silicon Labs will be located in hall 4A, booth 128, where it will demonstrate next-gen, energy-friendly 8-bit and 32-bit MCUs,Thread and ZigBee mesh networking software, low-power Wireless M-Bus connectivity, environmental and biometric sensing solutions and an expanded Simplicity Studio development ecosystem.
