Souza brings extensive experience in the Brazilian aerospace industry, with positions previously held at Atech Negócios (Embraer Group) and AGS Aerohoses. For the last two years, Souza has supported existing Shimco customers in Brazil and proven instrumental in business development, lead generation and follow-up, obtaining RFQs, and negotiating new supplier contracts.
“We are pleased to sponsor and take part in the first edition of IBAS that is set to attract an international audience in the aerospace sector,” says Voss. “This show is especially key for Shimco, as plans are in place to open a local facility in Brazil with implementation of the initial phase of this project targeted for this fall. The goal of the facility is to become part of the local supply chain, by intensifying our capabilities with expertise from local employees and expanding our reach into the vital Brazilian aerospace industry.”
IBAS aims to bring together the aerospace supply chain, airport infrastructure, and commercial and executive suppliers to foster discussion between these three sectors in order to bring about improvements to the market.
During IBAS there will be simultaneous events integrating several sectors of the industry, such as business and general aviation, aerospace industry, air integration and new routes, women representation in the industry, space and drones in Latin America.
