SECO to demonstrate Clea as the enabler of Edge AI at embedded world 2026

SECO to demonstrate Clea as the enabler of Edge AI at Embedded World 2026 SECO to demonstrate Clea as the enabler of Edge AI at Embedded World 2026

At embedded world 2026 (10–12th March, Nuremberg, Germany), SECO will present Clea, its IoT and AI software framework, through a set of live, interactive demos that show how intelligence can be deployed, managed, and scaled directly at the edge, supporting production-ready Edge AI applications.

Live demos showcasing real-world Edge AI applications

The MUSAI demo presents a modular underwater system where AI-powered object detection and classification are executed directly at the Edge on SECO platforms, with detection events and system data visualised through customised Clea dashboards, illustrating a complete Edge-to-cloud workflow for environmental monitoring.

An AI-powered Photobooth delivers an engaging, fully edge-based experience running on SECO’s Modular Vision HMI, where multiple AI models transform images in real time while Clea collects, aggregates, and visualises operational and usage data, demonstrating how experiential applications can be managed as production-ready edge systems.

The intelligent industrial automation demo developed in collaboration with Reply showcases a software-defined automation use case enabled by the Clea framework. Industrial applications are deployed as containerised workloads, processing PLC data directly at the Edge and managed throughout their lifecycle. The demo runs on SECO’s SOM-COMe-BT6-PTL, based on the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors (formerly codenamed Panther Lake).

The Clea Vend & Payment Solution demo presents a production-ready smart vending system where transaction and operational data collected at the Edge are visualised through Clea Vend dashboards, enabling real-time monitoring and analytics for vending applications.

In addition, Clea underpins the Modular Vision showcases at the SECO booth and at selected partner booths, where SECO’s modular HMI product line, powered by Clea OS and supporting Intel, MediaTek, NXP, and Qualcomm processors, illustrates real-world use cases across industrial, smart building, medical, and quality inspection applications.

Clea: an end-to-end software framework supporting the Edge AI developer journey

Clea is SECO’s modular software framework designed to simplify the adoption of Edge AI at scale, connecting hardware, software, and artificial intelligence into a single, production-ready ecosystem that supports the full Edge AI developer journey from application development to deployment and operation. Built to remove technological friction and accelerate time-to-market, Clea enables secure device management, consistent data orchestration, and AI deployment directly at the Edge, while unlocking new services and monetisation opportunities.

Key components of the Clea offering include:

  • Clea OS – A secure, Yocto-based operating system providing a reliable foundation for running containerised AI and IoT workloads on industrial Edge devices, supporting long-term maintainability and compliance requirements. Clea OS is designed to make devices fleet-ready from day one, with security and DevOps foundations for Edge AI.
  • Clea Astarte – The data orchestration layer ensuring consistent ingestion and routing of telemetry and application data across heterogeneous devices.
  • Clea Edge hog – The device and fleet management layer enabling secure connectivity and campaign-based OTA updates for firmware and applications.
  • Clea Portal – The visualisation layer that transforms Edge-generated data into actionable insights through dashboards and services.
  • Clea AI Studio – A visual environment for creating and deploying containerised AI workflows across different hardware platforms.

The Clea framework connects the Application Hub, where AI and Edge applications are published and benchmarked, to Clea AI Studio for configuration and deployment, and to the SECO Developer Centre, which provides centralised access to documentation, tools, and development resources throughout the lifecycle of Edge applications.

SECO invites attendees to visit Hall 1, Booth 320 at embedded world 2026 to experience Clea through live, hands-on demonstrations and engage with SECO experts on real-world Edge AI applications.
