Printing platform sets the standard at productronica

With its DEK TQ, ASM presented its latest generation of stencil printers at productronica 2019. The completely redesigned printing platform offers a core cycle time of five seconds, enabling maximum throughput in a footprint of only 1.3 by 1.0 meters.

With its precise linear drives, off-belt printing, new clamping systems and a newly developed printhead it achieves an accuracy rating of ±17.5 µm @ 2 Cpk.

ASM also managed to minimise the need for operator assists with an average time of 8 hours between them. In addition, the DEK TQ features exceptional investment protection.

Featuring open interfaces, it can be integrated into the smart SMT factory quickly and easily.

Visitors to productronica can see on a high-speed line with dual conveyors how the state-of-the-art DEK TQ stencil printer, in a Back to Back (B2) setup interacts with the high-precision ASM ProcessLens SPI system to set new benchmarks in quality and throughput.

Functions like off-belt printing, new clamping systems and an innovative printhead with faster and more accurate squeegee pressure control deliver a wet printing accuracy (measured by an external system) rating of ±17.5 µm @ 2 Cpk, making the ASM printing platform the ideal module for 0201 metric components and modern ultra-fine-pitch applications.
