The who's who of the embedded community will meet at the embedded world Exhibition&Conference in March 2023. What is driving the industry? Answers can be found at the Nuremberg exhibition centre from March 14-16, 2023.

"With the claim 'embedded. responsible. sustainable.' we will be focusing in 2023 on key issues for the future of the embedded industry," explains Executive Director Benedikt Weyerer.

Where can embedded systems help to make the digital world more sustainable and how can the embedded industry operate more sustainably? What are the issues that define a responsible approach to AI? What is behind the EU Cyber Resilience Act? The Panel Discussions at the embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2023 will provide material for intensive discussions.

"The significance of embedded systems can hardly be overestimated when it comes to the topic of the century, namely sustainability," emphasises Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the embedded world Conference.

embedded world Conference 2023

The quality of the presentations is our top priority when we put together the conference programme. From over 360 submissions, the Steering Board has compiled 65 sessions in nine tracks and 19 classes meaning that 200 speakers from 26 countries will share their knowledge. In addition to proven programme points for knowledge transfer, the conference programme sets important impulses. "At embedded world, we bring together the many different and forward-looking facets of system development. For example, the lectures and class on 'embedded Rust' or ‘tinyML' are proof of this for me," emphasised Chairman Prof. Axel Sikora.

The three keynotes also capture the contemporary zeitgeist. Daniel Cooley, CTO of Silicon Labs, will talk about "Charting the Connected Future" while Prof. Dr.-Ing. Albert Heuberger, from Fraunhofer IIS, will address the impact of chip design and production on Europe's technological sovereignty. Furthermore, Prof. Ali Hessami, Chair IEEE P7000 Technology Ethics Standard, will pose ethical questions related to AI and autonomous systems. A current, and very relevant topic, because related EU certification is currently under discussion.

A keynote session including analyses global developments in the display market will open the conference. The programme is planned to reflect the dynamics of the displays industry.

"The display community is once again looking forward to meeting in Nuremberg to experience innovation first hand and to make new contacts. The focus will also be on the electronic displays area, because seeing is believing," says edC Chairman Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Blankenbach.
