Kontron at embedded world 2026 Kontron at embedded world 2026

Kontron will present its portfolio of powerful, secure, and scalable embedded and Edge AI solutions at embedded world 2026.

Following the motto ‘Secure. Connected. CRA ready.’, Kontron demonstrates how to seamlessly integrate modern hardware platforms, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act. A key focus is the close technology partnership with Intel, enabling the early integration of the latest processor architectures into industrial platforms.

Close partnership with Intel for high-performance Edge AI

By integrating the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors (codenamed Panther Lake), Kontron reinforces its position as an innovation partner for intelligent Edge computing solutions. This combination of CPU, GPU, and integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) allows for the execution of computationally intensive AI workloads, such as image processing, machine vision, and data-driven analytics directly at the Edge – energy-efficiently, with low latency, and without additional accelerators.

At embedded world 2026, Kontron will unveil its 3.5″ SBC PTL platform for industrial applications. Designed for long-term availability, robustness, and open standards, the architecture is AI-ready and meets key requirements for cybersecurity and lifecycle management – essential prerequisites for CRA compliance.

Kontron is also participating in the Intel Innovation Pass Programme, which guides visitors from the Intel stand to the Kontron booth and promotes in-depth discussions around Kontron solutions based on Intel technologies.

Broad platform portfolio: from Intel to AMD

In addition to Intel-based solutions, Kontron presents a variety of powerful embedded hardware, including the new K4131-Px mITX industrial motherboard based on the AMD Ryzen AI Embedded P100 processor series. Designed for demanding industrial, Edge, and AI applications, the board offers high graphics and AI performance, extensive display options, and flexible expansion possibilities. Kontron is also introducing the new SMARTCASE S740 to complement the mITX motherboard.

Kontron is further expanding its ARM-based portfolio with the OSM-S AM62L, a compact system-on-module compliant with the OSM standard and based on the energy-efficient dual-core Arm Cortex A53 processor from Texas Instruments. The module is ideal for space-saving, fanless embedded designs and accelerates development and time-to-market through the OSM approach.

At the system level, Kontron presents AI- and CRA-ready box PCs for 24/7 industrial operation and demanding Edge applications. With the new SiMa mezzanine card, the KBox can be enhanced with MLSoC acceleration. Combining Intel Core processors for control and visualisation with SiMa.ai acceleration enables up to 50+ TOPS of Edge AI performance for workloads such as image processing, multi-camera systems, and multimodal GenAI. This setup is energy-efficient and does not require adapting existing software stacks or incurring vendor lock-in.

Security, CRA readiness, and IoT connectivity

With KontronAIShield and KontronOS, Kontron offers an integrated security ecosystem that supports secure boot mechanisms, updateability, protection against unauthorised access, and structured vulnerability management throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Kontron ToolSuite enables efficient, scalable system and BIOS configuration for industrial platforms.

The trade show presentation also features 5G connectivity. Kontron is presenting its 5G industrial modules, now available in series production. Designed for connected, data-intensive Edge and IoT scenarios, the module is suitable for applications in industry, railway, and avionics.

Innovations for demanding and safety-critical applications

Another focus is on robust embedded computing solutions for aerospace and defence applications. With the µDARC platform for compact mobile systems and the HARAKAN-F for high-performance use in demanding environments, Kontron showcases solutions for autonomous and mission-critical applications. A live demo illustrates deterministic, time-critical networks, and real-time data flow across distributed embedded systems.

Rapid prototyping as a key factor in electronics manufacturing

The trade fair presentation is rounded off by the Electronics² service brand. The focus is on rapid prototyping, which enables the fast transition from hardware designs to series production. At embedded world 2026, beflex electronic will present itself as a rapid prototyping and flexible electronics manufacturing specialist – from initial functional samples to small series production. Short development cycles, fast response times, and customised prototypes help accelerate project execution and time-to-market. A key added value lies in the technical support through to optimised series production. beflex electronic is part of the Electronics² network.

Further innovations at the Kontron Booth

In addition to the above highlights, Kontron will present further new products, platforms, and solutions in Hall 3, Booth 159 from 10-12th March.

The Kontron team will be available for personal meetings. Please contact them to schedule an appointment.
