Atmel has announced that it will be exhibiting solutions for powering smart, secure and connected IoT applications at the 2015 International CES, which takes place from 6th to 9th January at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in Las Vegas, Nevada. In meeting room number MP25760, located in the South Hall, Atmel will be showcasing a variety of solutions in four technology zones: the SMART LIVING ZONE, the AUTOMOTIVE ZONE, the MAKER ZONE and the POWERED BY ATMEL zone.

In the SMART LIVING ZONE, Atmel will display its SMART SAM L21, which runs on an Xplained PRO board with an ePaper display, enabling low power consumption and high performance. The company will also exhibit a number of tablets, smartphones and phablets powered by its maXTouch technologies. Keyboards, mice and other HMI devices based on Atmel’s QTouch capacitive platforms will also be showcased.

Atmel’s XSense, maXTouch and QTouch technologies will be highlighted in the AUTOMOTIVE ZONE, where the company will demonstrate a smart, connected car using its next-gen AvantCar 2.0 concept demo. The fully functional automotive center console will also showcase car access, including RF and LF technologies for keyless entry systems, LIN- and CAN-based car networking applications, audio via Ethernet-AVB, MCUs and crypto technologies for safe data transfer via automotive networking.

In the MAKER ZONE, Atmel will exhibit its Arduino WiFi Shield, which enables rapid prototyping of IoT applications on the Arduino platform. The company will also display a remote-controlled Maker Robot powered by the SMART SAM D21. ‘Mr. Abot’ is controlled through an Android app and the communications driven through the company’s recently announced WINC1500 WiFi solution.

Atmel will showcase the latest smart phones, tablets and wearables in the market in the POWERED BY ATMEL zone. These range from a wireless drive and narrative life logging camera to fitness bands and the company’s latest XSense technologies.
