Amazon Filters will be showcasing its advanced product range for the food and beverage industry at SIMEI in Fiera, Milan Italy from 3rd – 6th November. SIMEI - International Enological and Bottling Equipment Exhibition is one of the world’s leading events for wine technology and the only international biennial exhibition which includes machinery, equipment and products for production, bottling and packaging of all drinks. Since Simei first opened its doors in 1963, the exhibition has gone from strength to strength.

Globally recognised process filter manufacturer and filtration solutions provider, Amazon Filters will be exhibiting at Simei in Hall 11, Stand T09 where it will showcase SupaPore VPW, SupaPore FPW and SupaPleat II filters.

In beverage manufacturing it is essential that products are microbiologically stabilised prior to packaging to prolong shelf life. This needs to be achieved without affecting the nature of the product and in a cost effective manner, therefore minimising the cost of stabilisation whilst maintaining beverage quality remains a constant driver.

SupaPore VPW is a high flow advanced PES membrane filter cartridge designed to meet these requirements. SupaPore FPW microfiltration cartridges can be used for most beverage applications including clarification, stabilisation and bio burden reduction. They also serve as the ideal membrane protection filter for final sterilising systems.

In addition, Amazon Filters will be presenting the SupaPleat II high surface area pleated cartridges which have been developed to suit industrial processes where high levels of efficiency and extremely low pressure loss are required. In-house developments have optimised the filter media to give higher levels of porosity, and state of the art manufacturing technologies give excellent build quality.

Three media options are offered as standard - polypropylene, glass microfibre and nylon. The polypropylene version features the specific CRY Cryptosporidium grade designed for Food and Beverage applications. All feature 100% polypropylene cage, core and end cap assembly.

Jeff Kirby, Sales Director, Amazon Filters said: “We are delighted to be a part of this extremely important and prestigious exhibition. Filtration is critical to a successful wine production process and attendees will be able to understand how our products, especially SupaPore VPW, SupaPore FPW and SupaPleat II filters have proven reliable and cost effective in this demanding process. SIMEI is the perfect platform for us to demonstrate these and other solutions available for use within the beverage industry.”
