Image processing solutions exhibited at SPS IPC Drives 2014

At SPS IPC Drives 2014, which took place from 24th to 26th November in Nuremberg, Germany, HEITEC exhibited its latest image processing solutions for optical inspection.

Among the solutions on show was an image processing system based on an Ethernet camera, which incorporates a user-friendly GUI and communicates via messages sent from the PLC. The company also displayed a system which uses high-resolution cameras with prism optics alongside image processing software to combine the transmitted light projections.

A modular inspection system, designed for testing and 3D measurement of geometric parameters, was also presented at the show. To complete a variety of tasks, the system applies methods of thermal, optical, and three-dimensional measuring. The systems, which feature a compact thermal imaging module, distribute the test parameters of the tasks from the master computer to the camera systems over a local network. The results can be evaluated in the system or on the master computer for statistical processing, visualisation and archiving.
