The galvanic insulation links, which are available in lengths of 1, 2, 3 and 4”, supress transient peak voltages of up to 50kV per IEC 60664-1 specification. The AFBR-3905xxRZ supports data rates from DC to 5MBd, while the AFBR-3950xxRZ supports data rates from DC to 50MBd. The devices are suitable for high voltage on-board insulation in applications such as power distribution, smart grid, and industrial inverters and motor drives.
Footprint comparable to RJ-45 connectors, the 650nm POF transceivers support serial data communications from 100Mb/s to 1Gb/s. The devices also feature a bare fibre locking mechanism, removing the need for connectors.
The 650nm link fibre optic receivers, which are available in horizontal, vertical and 30°-tilted packages, support data rates from DC to 5MBd with superior EMI performance. Suitable for operation with 3.3 or 5V power supplies with TTL data output, the devices achieve link distances of up to 50 meters using a 1mm 0.5NA POF and 500 meters using 200um 0.37NA PCS.
Samples of the AFBR-3905xxRZ, AFBR-3950xxRZ, AFBR-59FxZ, AFBR-25x1CZ and evaluation boards are now available.
