Exciting demos at onsemi’s booth at electronica

onsemi’s booth at electronica will feature exciting demos covering automotive, industrial and cloud power for electric vehicles, advanced safety, factory automation, energy infrastructure and EV charging – with silicon carbide (SiC) technology heavily featured.

One demo will feature innovative top-side cooling developed for motor control and DC/DC conversion. The seven new Top Cool devices use a 15mm2 thermal pad to dissipate heat directly into a heatsink rather than via the PCB, reducing temperatures and increasing reliability. The devices also deliver the electrical efficiency required in high power applications even when switching at high speeds.

onsemi will demo a new rotary position sensor based upon a new and patented (3 issued, 4 pending) dual-inductive technology. The NCS32100 has an integrated M0+ microcontroller (MCU) and delivers a combination of accuracy (+/-50 arcsec), speed (up to 45,000 RPM) and price (sub-$10).

Booth visitors will also see the Mercedes VISION EQXX car based upon onsemi SiC technology.
