Viscom AG's subsidiary, Exacom, will participate in Battery Show North America 2023, which will be held between the 12th – 14th September at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

At booth No. 1428, Exacom experts will answer questions ranging from detailed quality control to comprehensive manufacturing processes.

Whether cylindrical or stacked cells like for medical or automotive applications, power tools or consumer goods – there is the obvious need for safe and performant operation. Exacom's iXcell systems for inline inspection and iLAB for manual and semi-automatic inspection ensure 100% quality control. Innovative X-ray metrology is combined with fully integrated material handling solutions.

The energy density of batteries is increasing in ever smaller spaces. Product safety therefore remains a key challenge for the industry. Defect detection must be fast and repeatedly exact. Cylindrical cells, for example, can be inspected inline in 2D at a rate of 175 parts per minute. Stacked cells, on the other hand, are usually measured and analysed using computed tomography (CT). Comprehensive insight into the cells with 3D measurement data is possible, e.g., in a lab during product development. Machine capability analyses according to industry-specific guidelines and standards ensure that the test results of Exacom systems exhibit the highest metrological quality in terms of accuracy and precision. Furthermore, image and data processing are supported by artificial intelligence.

Together with Exacom, Viscom's US team will be present at the booth to showcase first-hand novelties for automatic optical 3D inspection and 3D X-ray inspection in electronics manufacturing, as well as the latest related AI solutions. A constant innovation-driven exchange between Exacom and the parent company with its broad spectrum of inspection technologies guarantees a high degree of diverse creative impulses.
