Eurotech presents products for Rolling Stock at Innotrans 2016

The BoltGATE 20-25 is Eurotech’s new fanless and compact EN50155 Class Tx certified Multi-Service Gateway and Edge Controller. With an IP65 rating, the BoltGATE 20-25 has been designed to exceed the requirements of rolling stock applications, with extreme ruggedness and suitability to applications where consistent performance and reliability are a must.

Based on the Intel Atom E38xx processor family, providing up to 4GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC, the BoltGATE 20-25 offers several storage options including internal or removable 2.5” SATA SSD/HDD, mSATA, and a user-accessible microSD slot.

It also features a rich set of communication and I/O interfaces - 2x Gigabit Ethernet, protected USB, 4x opto-isolated serial interfaces, 6x opto-isolated digital I/O, audio line in/out and video.

The product is available with a wide range of connectivity capabilities, including global cellular modem, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and a dedicated internal GPS with Dead Reckoning. The BoltGATE 20-25 supports both Linux and Windows operating systems.

It also includes an Oracle Java SE Embedded 8 Virtual Machine and Everyware Software Framework (ESF), a commercial enterprise-ready edition of Eclipse Kura, the open source Java/OSGi middleware for IoT gateways.

Distributed and supported by Eurotech, ESF adds advanced security, diagnostics, provisioning, remote access and full integration with Everyware Cloud (EC), Eurotech’s IoT Integration Platform.

Used stand-alone, or in conjunction with EC, the BoltGATE 20-25 provides a fast go-to-market solution for IoT transportation applications such as on-board CCTV, Passenger Information Systems (PIS), passenger infotainment and entertainment, train-to-ground communications, and fleet management.

The BoltCOR 30-17 is a fanless and rugged EN50155-certified Server packaged in a compact, short depth 19” 1U rack-mount chassis and an IP40 rating. It is designed for rolling stock applications that require Tx temperature class, consistent performance, high reliability, long term availability, and support programs ensuring continuity of supply and customer service.

The BoltCOR 30-17 features a wide range of high-performance configuration options, from Intel 6th Gen Core i7, i5, and Celeron® to Intel Xeon® D 15xx CPUs, offering a broad range of cores (from 2 to 8) and clock speeds (up to 2.6Ghz).

The BoltCOR 30-17 also provides up to 32GB of ECC DDR4, soldered down CPUs and an S2 class power supply. Several memory, storage and expandability options are available.

A wide range of wired and wireless connectivity options are available for the BoltCOR 30-17, including cellular carrier pre-certified system configurations. Customisation options include internal and external global cellular modems, dual modem/dual SIM configurations, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, MIMO support and a GPS with Dead Reckoning.

The BoltGATE 20-25 is available today, while BoltCOR 30-17 will be generally available in Q1 2017.
