At CES 2026, e-peas will make the public debut of its new AEM15820 power management IC (PMIC), the first single-chip PMIC capable of spanning the full dynamic range of hybrid indoor-outdoor PV cells.

These hybrid PV cells have a wide power output that can vary from microwatts under indoor lighting to several watts when in direct sunlight. To manage this range, multi-PMIC solutions have previously been required, adding cost and complexity to the overall system designs.

They are being implemented in a wide range of consumer applications, including sports or hiking computers and self-charging headphones, and will enable many more, such as PV-charged earbud cases and e-readers. Additional markets include remote security cameras, smart glasses, power banks, and smart backpack power modules.

The AEM15820 was launched in December and CES 2026 will be its public debut. It is optimised for use with both batteries and lithium-ion capacitors (LiC) and features an ultra-low-power cold start of 5µW at 275mV.

“Hybrid PV cells are being integrated into a wide range of smart next-generation systems and the ability to handle their incredibly wide range in a small, low-cost, and easy-to-implement way is vital in enabling their full potential,” said Christian Ferrier, CMO of e-peas. “So, while it is always a delight to return to CES and meet our customers and design partners, our live AEM15820 demonstrations mean this will be especially true this year.”

CES will take place from 6-9th January 2026, and the e-peas booth, Venetian Expo Level 2, #50752, will also display e-peas energy harvester PMIC portfolio and a range of solutions for wireless keyboards, asset trackers and remote controls.
