Conference to explore ultra-thin & nano-coatings

The ‘High-Reliability Cleaning and Conformal Coating Conference’, scheduled for 18th to 20th November in Illinois, USA, focuses on best practices and innovative technologies for meeting manufacturing challenges and producing reliable hardware. Celestica’s Jason Keeping will chair session two: ‘Ultra-Thin (UT) and Nano-Coatings ~ Polymer films designed to product circuit assemblies in harsh environments’.

Speakers in this session will include:

  • Dr. Sean Clancy, HZO, will discuss ‘Protecting electronics from the deleterious effects of liquids and other contaminants at the molecular level’;
  • Dr. Luke Ratnasinghe, DryWired, will explore ‘Hydrophobic Coatings to Protect Electronics and Other Substrates’;
  • Dr. Rakesh Kumar will be presenting on ‘A high temperature vapour phase conformal coating for electronics applications’;
  • Filip Legein, Europlasma, is scheduled for a talk on ‘Environmentally Friendly, RoHS and WEEE Compliant Low Pressure Plasma Nanocoatings for Printed Circuit Boards’; and
  • Dr. Abe Ghanbari & Dr. Tim Von Werne, Semblant, will explore ‘Substrate preparation prior to plasma deposition of thin film polymers for conformal coating applications in electronics industry’.
