Asset management solutions on show at Data Centre World
During Data Centre World at London's ExCel exhibition centre, HARTING will showcase its ranges of asset management and connectivity solutions for data centres on Stand N73. A major new development is the Ha-VIS RFID LOCFIELD antenna, which provides real-time monitoring of asset movements within the data centre.
Real-time asset management improves operations, and supports the trend towards co-location data centres, where the operator manages key assets. Liability issues are reduced through the continuous monitoring, recording and reporting of asset movements.
Owing to an increase in cyber crime, there is a need to maintain the security of physical elements within data centres. The HARTING RFID solution enables tagging of each element within the server rack, with the Ha-VIS LOCFIELD acting as a flexible coaxial waveguide antenna that can be shaped for the desired read field.
For increased design, build and maintenance flexibility, the HARTING Han-Eco connector family can be implemented into a data centre’s power distribution network where it provides a space-saving solution as well as reducing installation time and minimising maintenance down-time. This 'plug & play' solution uses modular connectivity to offer a high degree of flexibility, allowing installations to be tailored to the individual needs of a customer.
