Long-standing Autosport International exhibitor AP Racing is returning to the show for 2016 with a number of cutting-edge high-performance products aimed at the motorsport and road market. AP Racing has been exhibiting at the dedicated trade-only show, Autosport Engineering supported by Racecar Engineering, since it was first held in 1991.

This year it will play host to 13 new products from AP Racing in total, with the company showing parts for GT Racing as well as road users. The Coventry-based company has achieved more international sporting success than any of its rivals, establishing itself as a key supplier at all levels of international motorsport formulas, including single seat racing, rallying, sportscar racing, stock car racing and touring cars.

AP Racing’s success has been underlined by the fact that every Formula One Championship since 1967 has been won using the company’s equipment. Since its first appearance in F1 at the Dutch Grand Prix in 1967, AP Racing has achieved 747 wins with brakes, clutches or both.

Launching at the show, AP Racing’s CP5538 is a brand new and unique pull-type sliding pedal box, which aims to help GT Racing teams comply with the potential new safety regulation of a fixed racing seat. It allows drivers of different heights to fit comfortably into the same car and incudes adjustable foot pads, throttle pedal and pedal stops for the clutch and brake pedals. It allows for up to 180mm of adjustment, and has 19 fixed positions.

AP Racing is also showing two brake callipers for GT and Endurance racing, adding to its Radi-CAL range. The CP6277 and CP6278 are suitable for all GT and Endurance racing and are designed to work with iron or carbon brake discs. Its ducted air-cooling system helps to lower the brake temperature and improves braking performance. The CP6277 and CP6278 are designed to work with the front and rear brakes respectively.

The CP9444, CP9445 and CP9668 brake callipers are three brand new entry-level additions to AP Racing’s Pro 5000 R range, and also feature the company’s Radi-CAL technology. The CP9444 and CP9445 are aimed at 13" racing wheels, and feature a forged two-piece aluminium alloy body and a radical asymmetric design.

The CP9668 is a six-piston calliper that also incorporates the Radi-CAL design and is suitable for Ø390.0x36mm or Ø378.0x32.0mm thick cast iron discs. Performance braking options are also available to road car owners, with a new aftermarket kit, called the CP9200 launched to replace the successful CP5200 model.

AP Racing is also showing several model-specific upgrade kits for the Audi A6 (C7), BMW 5-Series and 3-Series (F10 and F30 respectively) and the R35 Nissan GT-R at the show. The new aftermarket kits all feature a lightweight six-piston design, and are intended to work with aftermarket wheels.

All of the Factory brake kits come with AP Racing brake pads, which are designed and tailored to work with AP Racing’s callipers. They are suitable for either race or road use. Two new carbon clutches will also be shown at the show, with both joining AP Racing’s PRO Torque family of products. The twin-plate and multiple-plate units are designed for track or road use, and designed to offer great value.

The PRO Torque family of products provides long service life, improves modulation and are resistant to high intensity applications.

AP Racing is the leading manufacturer of performance brake and clutch systems for road and race cars. The core product range includes clutches, callipers, discs, pads, master cylinders, pedal boxes and air jacks, as well as road and competition brake systems for motorcycles.

The two dedicated trade-only days of Autosport International, running between 14-15 January, attract over 27,000 business professionals, engineers and decision makers from all around the globe. The show provides visitors with the suitable platform to network with representatives from a number of the world’s leading advanced engineering companies and high-performance product suppliers.
