Anglia is partnering with Analog Devices (ADI) to present two in-depth, technical workshops on signal conditioning.

The workshops will focus on the exploration of the signal chain and techniques to quantify noise. It will also include the examination of the signal conditioning of the analogue /digital converters, along with bit resolution, speed, the reference voltage, optimization of resolution and filters.

Additionally, there will be a technical dive into the Op Amp, including the structure and choice of components, influences, disruptive factors, suggestions for improving the signal chain, tools and circuit suggestions, along with practical tips.

For the hands-on session, an ADALM2000 Active Learning Module will be used (which will require all attendees to bring a laptop that requires installed driver for ADALM2000).

All attendees will take away an ADALM2000 Free of Charge!

The ADALM2000 works as a portable lab that, when used with a host PC, can augment classroom learning. Analog Devices’ Scopy software package supports the ADALM2000 and provides an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) so users can learn faster, work smarter, and explore more.

Built on open-source technology, Scopy can be examined and extended by anyone. Scopy uses the features of the ADALM2000 to create a wide range of test and measurement instruments including voltmeters, digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, arbitrary waveform generators, 2-port network analysers, digital logic analysers with bus analysers, digital pattern generators and digital static inputs/outputs.

Presenters will be Barry Mulligan, Technical Marketing Manager and Ivan Santos, Product Applications Engineer from Analog Devices along with Pierre Morris and Will Mitchell, Field Applications Engineers at Anglia Components.

Workshop dates are April 16 at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester and April 18 at Reading Football Club.
