Advanced Energy Industries will be featuring its portfolio and latest innovative AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies at the 2023 Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) from March 20-23 at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, FL.

AE will also participate in various conference programs, with company representatives chairing panel sessions, presenting technical papers and participating in APEC’s first ever student job fair.

At Advanced Energy’s booth 555, demos include programmable DC power supplies for the test and measurement market; configurable, hot swappable power supplies for commercial and horticultural LED lighting; and compact, modular AC-DC and DC-DC units for industrial and medical applications.

Also on display are the latest technologies for data centre, networking and storage applications including power shelves compatible with the Open Compute Project (OCP) Open Rack version 3 (ORv3) specifications for 48V rack architectures and power supplies in the CRPS (common redundant power supply) form factor.

“With an ever-increasing focus on operating costs and sustainability, selecting and deploying power architectures that combine performance with efficiency has never been more important,” said Conor Quinn, Senior Director of Technical Strategy at Advanced Energy. “A must-attend event for the power electronics industry, APEC provides the opportunity for Advanced Energy to show engineers and system architects new technologies that enable today’s and tomorrow’s designs.”

On Tuesday, March 21 from 8:30 – 11.55 AM ET, Harry Soin, Advanced Energy’s Senior Director of Technical Marketing, Hyperscale, will host an industry session on “Solutions for Data Center and Server Power” and present “Key Features of Next Gen 48 V Power and BBU Shelves.”

On Tuesday from 9:45 – 10:10 AM ET, Systems and Application Engineer Manager Frank Cirolia will present “Powering Future Indoor Farming Facilities” during the “Power Innovations and Technologies Enabling Smart Buildings and Cities” industry session.

On Thursday, March 23 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM ET, Oisin Anderson from Advanced Energy’s engineering team will participate in the Technical Session Dialogue with a paper and poster titled “Comparison of Three Buck Topologies for Wide Output Voltage Applications.”
