The ANT-868-VHETH was awarded second place in the Communication category as one of this year’s Elektronik Reader’s Choice Products of the Year. Over 12,000 readers took part in naming the winners, selecting from 106 innovative products nominated by the editors.
The 868 MHz vertical helical coil (VHETH) antenna was designed for low-power, wide-area (LPWA) applications such as LoRaWan®, as well as remote controls, and ISM band networking, automated meter reading, security systems, automated equipment, and industrial machinery.
The VHETH antenna improves upon the classic horizontally oriented coil antenna by providing a vertical coil configuration for better omnidirectionality while using less space on the control board. The VHETH antenna leverages the base of a printed circuit mount connector ensuring proper mounting for uniform performance in high-volume manufacturing without adding unnecessary cost or complexity.
