Silicon Labs’ Series 3 SIMG301 has been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Semiconductor category.

The SiMG301 is a secure, multiprotocol wireless SoC designed to accelerate the development of smart lighting, switches, and sensors.

It combines PSA Level 4 security, ample compute and memory, and an integrated LED pre-driver, reducing the need for external components, lowering BOM costs, and saving board space in line-powered designs. The SiMG301 supports concurrent Zigbee, Bluetooth LE, and Matter over Thread, enabling seamless interoperability and robust device connectivity.

As one of the first platforms in the CSA Matter Compliant Platform Certification programme, it streamlines the path to Matter certification, offering pre-tested commissioning, networking, and message-security functions. This certification ensures resilience against advanced attacks such as laser fault injection, side-channel analysis, microprobing, and voltage manipulation, raising the bar for far-edge protection.

With these capabilities, the SiMG301 allows manufacturers to deliver secure, feature-rich, and Matter-certified products faster, while aligning with tightening global security regulations.
