KYOCERA AVX’s 9002418L0-L16S S-band antenna has been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Passives category.
KYOCERA AVX’s 9002418L0-L16S is an innovative S-band antenna designed for Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) satellite connectivity. It delivers reliable high gain and wide bandwidth performance while uniquely offering selectable circular polarisation (LHCP or RHCP) within a single design – enabling compatibility with multiple satellite constellations without redesign.
Unlike traditional ceramic patch antennas, which typically have narrow bandwidth and often require separate Rx and Tx patches with a duplexer, the 9002418L0-L16S supports the full NTN S-band Tx and Rx frequency range within a single compact component. Its advanced Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology enables a lighter, more compact, and mechanically robust solution with improved radiation performance across elevation angles.
The result is stable satellite connectivity, enhanced polarisation consistency, and reliable performance toward the horizon – particularly valuable for LEO satellite communication in space-constrained, performance-critical IoT applications.
