WiMAX Forum® designates Aeroflex / AT4 wireless conformance test systems as official test equipment for WiMAX Certification

Aeroflex and AT4wireless have announced that the WiMAX Forum® has designated the Aeroflex/AT4 wireless MINT223x protocol conformance test (PCT) system and AT4 wireless MINT T2110 radio conformance test (RCT) system as official test equipment for WiMAX Certification (802.16-2005). Both systems have been installed and are being actively used for WiMAX equipment certification at the first worldwide WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory which has been established on behalf of the WiMAX Forum within AT4 wireless’ comprehensive Wireless Certification & Testing Laboratory in Malaga, Spain.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to count on the WiMAX conformance test capabilities of the AT4 wireless RCT and Aeroflex/AT4 wireless PCT systems in the WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory,” said Jose de la Plaza, who is responsible for the operation of the WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory. “In order to quickly make the WiMAX Certification process a reality we need to be able to draw on the extensive expertise, technical innovation and understanding of WiMAX technology of leading test equipment developers like Aeroflex and AT4 wireless.”
