We are honored to have been recognized as one of America’s fastest-growing, independent, entrepreneurial ventures, said Andy Zanelli, CEO of VCC. We continue to expand both organically and acquisitively, and are optimistic we will receive an even higher ranking next year.
To qualify for the 2012 Inc. 500|5000, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008, and U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of December 31, 2011. The minimum revenue required for 2008 was $100,000; for 2011 it was $2 million.
In the last two years, VCC has seen tremendous triple-digit growth in revenue, necessitating a move to a location that provided double the available space for design and development, sales and marketing, and warehousing, a necessity for a company that focuses on both standard product
shipments and custom design contracts. More recently, VCC acquired the LeecraftR and Littelites product lines from Lighting Concepts and Solutions, and the complete Chicago Miniature Lighting, LLC indication and illumination product lines, which has made VCC the largest global provider of indication
solutions.
Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is, said Inc. editor Eric Schurenberg.
